August 2023 – Chancellor Sonny Perdue And Members Of The Board Of Regents Of The University System Of Georgia Visit To Georgia State University
On August 22, 2023, Chancellor Sonny Perdue and members of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia were invited to the downtown campus of Georgia State University.
They heard from President Brian Blake, were given a tour of the campus, and heard from a panel hosted by Provost Parsons-Pollard, where students discussed how Georgia State University is helping them make their way from college to their careers.

January, 2023: Inauguration of Governor Brian P. Kemp
On January 12, 2023, Georgia State University hosted the Historical Inauguration of Brian P. Kemp on his second term as the 83rd Governor for the State of Georgia at its new Convocation Center.
In honor of the Governor’s Inauguration, President Brian Blake and Michael Parkerson, Vice President for Government and Community Affairs personally presented Governor Kemp and the Constitutional Officers of the State of Georgia with commemorative renderings, marking this noble occasion.
