Term of Employment: November 2022 – December 2022 (with possibility of hire)
GA Changemaker Bootcamp is a November training program that matches underrepresented students to paid roles in Georgia’s legislature – elected officials, progressive organizations, or advocacy groups. After a series of virtual trainings in November, the Georgia Youth Justice Coalition will guide each changemaker through a matching process to spring semester job opportunities. In person networking events, behind-the-scenes tours of the capitol, and exclusive job training with seasoned progressive legislative advocates are all included.
Bootcamp will cover essential legislative skills such as press strategy, policy analysis, policy writing, advocacy and pressure campaigns, and more! The program’s curriculum is heavily influenced by the outcomes of the November 2022 election. For day-by-day overviews, the Bootcamp curriculum overview is linked here. Application deadline is November 9, 2022.
