Georgia State’s marching band did itself and the university proud, smartly strutting and performing in President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Parade on Monday, January 14, 2013, the same day our nation celebrated the birthday of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The band’s performance capped a memorable weekend that gave our 100-year old university a spot on the national stage.
